For Merkel, we find Frigga in Ansuz, the rune of the subtle wind transcending barriers. Ansuz is helpful in other contexts, but not for the personal commitments of Frigga. In addition, Frigga is in her weakest house, the Day West house, realm of public affairs. The position helps Merkel appear a mother figure to the German people, but it is not conducive to a personal family. Odin (Moon), the wanderer, is in the Night East house, accentuating the lack of domestic commitment.

For Nicholas Sarkozy, we find Frigga locked in Isa, the rune of cold, immobile ice. She has no major aspects to other planets, and only a weak aspect to Freyja. It also explains how she made her home into a sanctuary for publicly controversial celebrities such as revolutionary Leon Trotsky. Like Monroe, her Night East house is empty. Kenaz, the rune of trials, testing, and reshaping, is primary in her Night East house.

In Norse astrology,Freyja (represented by the Sun) is one of three planets that indicate the quality and nature of our love life. The other two planets are Thor (Mars) and Frigga (Venus). Freyja represents the affections, what we enjoy and appreciate in life. As Freyja is the goddess of pleasure and sex, she helps determine fertility, sexual activity, and sensual pleasure. Ingwaz, the rune of masculine energy released into the feminine, is primary in his East house, and this is emblematic of someone who gives everything, then collapses afterwards.

The number of different prophecies surrounding the 2012 Mayan predictions could easily fit into the scribblings on the inside of a tinfoil hat. Will the world end? Will the universe just blink out of existence? Will an age of peace and understanding dawn on all of mankind as time becomes irrelevant and love fills the soul of every man, woman and child? The questions, both beautiful, sanctimonious, and absurd, continue regarding the 2012 Mayan predictions. The only thing that we can truly say for a fact, however, is that the Mayans were really quite good at astronomical predictions.

The most stunning prediction, that gives strong weight to any 2010 Mayan predictions out there, is that the Mayans predicted their own downfall to Spanish conquistadors. Why they didn't move or figure out a better way to fight the Spaniards is not known, but they did know they were coming. This excellence at astrological interpretations was based on their amazing astronomical observations. Their ability to identify constellations and whole universes, while placing them in mathematical reference to Earth and other heavenly bodies, allowed them to derive concepts of time, such as the year, down to the thousandth of a decimal point. This amazing ability to define time was unheard of in other highly advanced cultures, and allowed the Mayans to predict every single lunar eclipse, solstice, and solar eclipse to this very day. So any 2012 Mayan predictions should at least be taken seriously in terms of their past correctness.

The only problem with 2012 Mayan predictions then is, what exactly did they predict would happen? This question remains unanswered, as, like a good fictional story, many of the Mayans ancient books and manuscripts regarding any number of their endeavors were destroyed by the Spanish when they were conquered. This leaves only a few surviving books and passed down stories to detail what is supposed to happen. What can be pieced together revolves around the propensity for Mayan culture to see no concrete beginnings and endings, but a flow of change that causes one end to lead directly into another beginning. A circle of change, if you will. The idea 21-12-2012 marks the final day of a countdown concerning one of these cycles, a zero hour that turns into the start of another set of numbers, immediately. Whether this next age leads to beauty or mayhem, remains to be seen, but our bet is on beauty.

Neptune, I would say, is the most misunderstood planet. Some would refer to it as the planet of spiritually, and mysticism. I, on the other hand, refer to Neptune as the big deceiver that turns us into con artists and illusionists -- that have to pay the piper when Saturn comes around to get into the game, like now.

I have found that as Neptune goes retrograde its veil of deception begins to crack, and when it goes direct again the emperor's new clothes are revealed and this scammer stands as naked as a jay bird. Neptune had gone retrograde June 3rd two days after a solar eclipse. It's clear to see Neptune at work as a new can of worms has been opened with the Wiener photo scandal.

Previously an individual had a certain amount of anonymity on the internet. Now, with face book and twitter what you put out there comes back to haunt you big time.

Before I go forward with this, I want to take you back to April 23rd when mercury went direct opposite Saturn. Until Mercury goes retrograde again in August, we are living under the influence of Mercury/Saturn. Look at all the scandals that came to light since Mercury went direct: Dominigue Strauss-Kahn, Arnold Schwarzenegger, and now as Neptune was going retrograde, Anthony Wiener.

On Sunday June 12, Saturn will go direct and the cosmic bill collector will be out, demanding payment for unwise deeds done and wise deeds left undone.

On June 1, we had a solar eclipse at 11 Gemini 02, Venus/Kronos was midpoint Pluto and Uranus, and Hades was only minutes away for 0 cardinal. The world heard about a very narcissistic political leader who had aspirations of becoming the next Mayor of New York City. He sent pictures of himself on twitter that had sexual overtones. What makes it so funny is that he is funny! I guess that is the Neptune station retrograde. Then Saturn stations and he gets slapped down because this solar eclipse squared the midpoint of his Sun Uranus and semi-squared his natal Venus, and Neptune stationed retrograde conjunct his Saturn. This person is Anthony Weiner and his birth date is September 4, 1964, Queens, New York, time unknown.

As Saturn will go direct at the midpoint of Mars and Admetos, there will be a decrease of work. Many projects come to a standstill and the unemployment numbers should go up again. It also means your actions are etched in stone especially since Saturn is going direct with Hades on the cardinal axis. Hades on the cards means your dirty laundry is flapping in the wind and will be talked about for a very long time. On the day Saturn goes direct Mercury will be conjunct the Sun and the midpoint between Saturn and Sun Mercury equals the Moon. This combo says face it, the gig is up and take your lumps. The public will not be able to close their eyes to what is going on any longer. And, if the public wants things to change they will have to speak up.

Then, on June 15, three days after Saturn goes retrograde we have a lunar eclipse of 24 degrees 23 minutes of Gemini/Sag. and semi-square Poseidon. After what had come to light this past month or so many couples will be looking for insight into their relationships to see if there is any hidden signs of trouble. At the same time Hades will be on the cardinal axis 22-1/Â

This particular eclipse in Sagittarius will be about learning the truth as opposed to being told lies. We are seeing this on a global level with authorities reporting far lower levels of radiation from the Japan nuclear disaster than are actually being found. The same is true of the volcano that has erupted in Chile where there is a fissure that is six miles long and three miles wide. Christchurch New Zealand has experienced a swarm of earthquakes in the last two days with yet more destruction, weakening of the infrastructure and thousands more left homeless. Yet, the government is still saying "we will rebuild." Discerning the difference between truth and lies will be a challenge for all of us in the next eighteen months to come. This will affect us globally, nationally and on a personal basis.

Sagittarius is all about a quest for truth, adventure, travel, faith and an optimistic future. It represents the higher mind, education and expansion and the Lunar Eclipse can bring great fulfillment, a dream come true, or the release of some very heavy baggage, or a big ending that makes the way for something new and exciting. Aries Ewe Goddess

Conscious Chef Donny Frate of St. Helena, CA created these food recipes to herald the transition of the Aries Ram turning over his scepter to the Aries Ewe Goddess.

Lamb with Red Wine and Mushrooms

Donny usually cooks for 7-10 people, so please feel free to adjust any portions or just have delicious leftovers!

1 leg of lamb with no bone cut into 1 to 2 inch cubes

1 yellow or sweet onion diced

1 pound of fresh mushrooms sliced

(Shitake or brown Crimea mushrooms are Donny's favorites)

Olive oil

1 good sized sprig of rosemary

2 to 3 cloves of fresh chopped garlic

1 bottle of decent red wine

(Have some for yourself while you cook)

1 can of beef consomme

Heat a good sized saute pan and add olive oil (notice I didn't say extra virgin; it gets ruined when it gets too hot) and add the lamb a little at a time and brown (10 minutes) add the onions and cook an additional 5 minutes. Add 1-1/2 cups of wine (the rest of the bottle is for you. You are all done chopping so you should be safe). This will deglaze the pan for all that yummy flavor. Add whole can of consommé and reduce the heat to simmer for about 15 minutes. If the liquid gets low, add some water.

While the lamb is simmering, heat up another sauté pan and cook the mushrooms and garlic until soft. Add to the lamb and throw the whole rosemary sprig in the mix for another 5 minutes.

Now I don't thicken this, but you can if you like. Add flour and water mixed with a little of the sauce.

Serve with organic white or brown rice, your favorite vegetable and more wine!

Aries Ewe Goddess Spring Salad Recipe

(Created by Conscious Chef Donny Frate)

1 bag of prewashed spinach (6 oz)

1 red onion sliced thin

1/2 red bell pepper, sliced thin

1 fennel bulb, halved and sliced thinly

1 roasted beet, sliced and diced

1/4 cup raw sunflower seeds

5 to 6 oz goat feta cheese.

The dressing is what makes this salad great!

1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil

Juice of 6 Meyers lemons (they're a cross between a lemon and an orange)

1 T each, fresh oregano, thyme, rosemary and basil chopped fine

2 cloves of garlic

1/2 tsp black pepper

Donny likes to make the dressing a few hours ahead of time to let the flavors blend. He also makes enough to use on other dishes like orzo pasta salad and grilled chicken.

Taurus Cow Goddess

To herald the passing of the cosmic baton from Taurus the Bull to Taurus the Cow Goddess, Conscious Chef Donny Frate of St Helena, CA created these food recipes.

Cow-a-Bunga

3/4" thick New York cut Steak

Garlic

Salt

2T Crushed Black Pepper

3/4 Cube Butter

Mushrooms

Green Peppercorns

1/2 cup Red Wine

1/2 can of Campbell's Beef Consume

Blue Cheese

Dijon Mustard

Grass fed beef, if you are eating red meat, is the way to go. I get a 3/4 inch thick New York cut, stay away from the steaks that have a gristle line in them unless you are a "well-done meat kind of person", then it doesn't matter.

Coat the steak in a little garlic, salt and 2 tablespoons of crushed black pepper (You can use a coffee grinder for your herbs). Heat the sauce pan and put in a 1/2 cube of butter (MoreCow is a good brand of butter). When butter melts, put the steak in the pan and sear for 3 minutes, flip the steak and continue to cook an additional 2-3 minutes.

Add the fun stuff on the flip; mushrooms, green peppercorns first. Add 1/2 cup good red wine (no cheap stuff). Remove steak after adding the wine. Now add 1/2 can of Campbell's Beef Consume. This is the best Donny knows of. Reduce the sauce down to about a 1/2 inch in the pan. Add a little blue cheese (MoreCow brand), Dijon mustard and 1/4 cube of soft butter, stir continuously until butter is completely dissolved, pour over the top of the steak and enjoy the best damn steak you've ever had (today!)

MMM Good Baked Potato

Russet Potatoes

Butter

Salt

Pepper

Worcestershire Sauce

Scallions

Shredded Cheese

Cow-a-Bunga steak sauce (optional)

Clean up the potato (russets are what Donny uses), coat the skin in a little butter, salt and pepper. Bake for 1 hour in a 350 degree oven.

Remove from oven, let cool for 5 minutes. Slice open the top and squeeze the ends from the bottom toward the middle to open the tater up. Add lots butter, salt, pepper and a little Worcestershire sauce, chopped scallions and your favorite shredded cheese on top.

If you made the Cow-a-Bunga, pour some of the steak sauce over your tater too!

Gemini Twin Goddess

Hummus Dip

2 Artichoke hearts

2 cans organic Garbanzo Beans (Trader Joes has good ones)

2 T Organic Tahini

2-3 Clove Garlic

1/4 cup sun-dried tomatoes

1/8 cup Kalamara Olives, pitted

1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil

4 oz ( 1/2 jar) Roasted Red Peppers (Trader Joes has good ones)

Raw vegetables and/or organic pita chips or organic bread for dipping

Blend garlic, 1/4 cup oil, artichoke hearts, olives, Sun Dried tomatoes, Peppers and Tahini together in a small food processor. Add the Garbanzo beans and puree until smooth!

Use raw vegetables and/or organic pita chips or organic bread for dipping.

Pickled Roasted Beets

Beets (allow 2 per serving)

Salt

Pepper

Olive Oil

Rice Vinegar

Caraway Seeds

Cut beets in half, put on baking sheet, flat side down. Sprinkle with salt & pepper. Drizzle with olive oil and rice vinegar. Roast in oven for 1 hour at 350 degrees, let cool. Slice and put into serving dish. Add 1/2 cup rice vinegar. Add toasted caraway seeds.

A birth chart isn't duplicated for 25,000 years because all the planets are traveling at different speeds around the sun. The paradox is that while we live in an era of vast quantities of superficial media friendly information flowing constantly; it is now possible to quickly and easily calculate the most complex mathematical astrological material.

The heavens have always captivated the human imagination and attention. The presence of its patterns and cycles revealed a reality to our forbears that implied the existence of a designer and for this reason the heavens were observed and studied by all the ancient cultures. They looked to the sky to learn how to live in harmony with the cycles of nature and to uncover a practical method which could give form to the philosophy "as above so below".

As far as we know, Astrology, mankind's first religion, was developed by the ancient Babylonians thousands of years ago when they observed that events on earth could be correlated to celestial phenomena. History is what we leave behind as we collectively live our lives in seemingly random and chaotic times. It is a roadmap to our connection with the dimension of time. It tells us how we live, and where we are going. So, where are we going? Historians really can't tell us. And, things are getting crazy these days. Now, if we study our history from an astrological perspective, history becomes something more than just history. What we find is that there is a definite and meaningful direction to history. This is revealed in astrological ages, and these ages can tell us where we are going, as well as something of who we are.

The earth's axis wobbles as it spins, completing one wobble in 25,920 years. This wobble is called the Precession of the Equinoxes. Within this wobble, the earth's axis precesses backward through the twelve astrological constellations that are associated with ages. Each age is 2160 years long, and they impart powerful qualities and direction to history. In addition, there are twelve eras within each age, 180 years each. This month you'll be working hard and playing hard. This is the stitch in time saves 9 part of the annual Sun cycle and the practical/physical aspects of your life on earth will be highlighted. You may be trying to get things running smoothly, so you'll want to get straight with repairs, maintenance etc. or pay more attention to health and diet - yours or another's, as organizing all that basic stuff helps you pave the way for better conditions in the future.

So, at times, you'll be tackling the devil in the detail, and reading the small print, but with Venus in a work orientated area, maybe it's you and a someone whistling while you work, or you'll have more opportunity to socialize or connect with someone romantically in a working type environment.
